“ We LOVE hammerhead Fred's! My wife and I came down for the weekend and had some pretty poor experiences at some other places. We wanted to get some good seafood before we headed back home and Fred saved the trip! My wife's not easily impressed but she is absolutely in love with this place. She wanted some oysters so we stared off with a half dozen and they were so good we got another half dozen. I got the succulent catfish and she got the bang bang shrimp tacos. My catfish was soooo crispy on the outside and soooo juicy on the inside. The shrimp and fried okra was crispy too. And on top of all that the staff and service was fantastic. We can't wait to come back! ”

“ Excellent dining experience.waitress was attentive and very polite. Refills and pop to go. We started with alligator bites appetizer that included hush puppies.Bites were nicely sized. Puppies were fabulous. Sauce went perfectly with app.I had the parmesan flounder with crab meat and potatoes. Perfectly cooked and great flavor added with the sauce.we also had the blackened mahhia fish sandwich.Very good.Red beans side was excellent.prices were fair with quality of the food and plenty of parking. ”
“ Cool spot, walked off the beach and stopped in for some drinks and a quick bite. Had the fried pickles and the mahi tacos blackened. Both were good, place was empty when we arrived around 4pm, easy to sit and get served quickly! Server Jake was great! ”
“ Mahi Tacos get full 5 stars with big pieces of fish and plenty of avocado sauce. Red beans and rice side dish highly recommended too. Kids liked their burgers, fries. Classic oysters and shrimp basket got a thumbs up. Mother-in-law loved her prime rib. I would knock off a half star if I could for the alligator appetizer - it was very small and had only one dipping sauce that was spicy (they should throw in a cup of ranch) and gator was more chewy than I’ve had at other places. Still the tacos were excellent and everyone liked their food so the place mostly deserves 5 stars, especially since the service was good. ”
“ Hammerhead Fred’s is always a must stop in Panama City every year. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them yet. Their food is amazing! We usually stop here on our first night of vacation! The oysters are my favorite. I usually get the baked oyster sampler. It comes out so beautifully presented on a wooden platter. The atmosphere is relaxing and staff are very informative and helpful! ”
